While I am strongly influenced by my personal work as a Student in the Ridhwan School or Diamond Approach plus my completion of 7 year Teacher Training my work differs in some notable ways. My work includes a deep and continual deepening understanding of the relationship of the body-soul and True Nature which is generally more encompassing than is brought into the Diamond Heart Teachings and in individual sessions with Teachers in the school.
My background before I entered the school some 35 years ago included an intensive exploration of the body with Dr Trager over 14 year period, and explorations with Emilie D’Aoud of Continuum. Other Somatic disciplines which I explored include : Polarity Therapy, Acupressure Jin Shin Do, Alexander Technique, & Cranial Sacral work with a variety of teachers plus a variety of other forms of bodywork. I also trained in Neo-Reichian form of Body Oriented Psychotherapy.
MyApproach is filtered through and comes from my own experience and realizations. I do not in any way represent a teacher in the Ridhwan School.
My body-soul oriented approach differs from other Somatic Therapists and from Diamond Heart Teachers in the following way. With each realization I would explore its multidimensional impact on the body-soul and the relationship of the body-soul to on-going unfoldment and connection to True Nature. There is an immensity of experience and understanding that is possible when we bring the depth of the body-soul into our exploration. Because of this, my work can help you deepen your process regardless of which Spiritual Approach you are aligned with or attuned to.
Another way my work differs from the Diamond Approach is that I have a broader canvas of inclusion of what I can work with. This means that particular psychological issues which many teachers in the School are not trained to work with or don’t work with or lack the expertise in working through generally, does not limit our work together. That includes working with couples as well. It is important to note my perspective of how I approach our work together. What ever obscures your realization of your deepening process and realization of your depth of your true nature is ripe and useful for our exploration.
What is important is that you and I feel we are a good fit for each other. Sometimes we don’t know that a the outset but it becomes clear after a few sessions. Feel free to bring any feelings which may arise so we can see what is going on for you.
